I have always been a dreamer. It’s no wonder I feel most at home in the magical world of books, where anything is possible. My love affair with the English language began over twenty-five years ago, and I’ve been studying it intensively ever since. So much so, that in 2006 I obtained my certificate from the Cambridge University.
My studies also include my bachelor’s degree in International Relations
and my master’s degree in Sustainable Development.
For two years, I worked for an NGO specialized in creating cultural
projects financed by the European Union. There I had the chance to
work with actors, theater actors, musicians, writers, playwrights,
and students from art schools.
However, driven by my incessant need for grammatical correctness, in 2013 I returned to my first love—books.
Since then, I’ve been the editor-in-chief of an independent publisher,
have collaborated with several other publishing houses and editing companies (most notably Indie Solutions by Murphy Rae), but I have
also edited for numerous self-published authors.
I have a vast editing experience, with over 1,200 edited manuscripts under my belt.
I’m passionate about my job because it gives me the opportunity to help authors polish their books and bring them as close to perfection as possible. I am open, friendly, and supportive.
My eye for detail helps me to easily spot inconsistencies and typos, and I’m unafraid to cross out words or rephrase sentences to make them clearer or to avoid repetitions, while keeping your voice intact.
Besides English, I also speak Castilian Spanish, Mexican Spanish, French, and Romanian.
In 2009, I obtained my certificate attesting my Spanish skills from the Cervantes Institute in Madrid.
and my master’s degree in Sustainable Development.
